- Oversight of end to end project implementation
- Ensuring project are implemented as per country requirement and cost.
- Manage cost charge is reasonable and appropriate.
- Guide & facilitate with stakeholders on the regulatory and group guideline requirement.
- Conduct and/or review regulatory and group guideline gap analysis to identify gap, establish process/controls to adhere to requirements; as well as ensuring action plans are in place and follow through .
- Oversee the regulatory compliance and adherence to Group guideline for the business unit, in which dispensation/ deviation/mitigating controls are formulated.
- Support business and work together with Business Risk Manager on internal incident/ breach report, Op loss, risk incident report by engaging appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely remedial actions; escalate key risk situations that pose significant risk.
- Support the roll out of processes and controls for WM emerging risks.
- Conduct risk – provide input / guidance into conduct plan & implement on behalf of business, preparation of conduct townhall content to ensure business units are aware of the Group Standards/requirement.
- Secretariat and Facilitating product and risk governance forums which include business metrics monitoring, issues tabling and monitoring of follow up actions.
- Review/quality review on transactions/complaints/ additional controls implemented.
- Ensure sales process and controls implemented are adhere to and controls are working effectively.
- Managing of mystery shopping exercises (inclusive of questionnaire development, onboarding, validation of result/report, critical non-compliance remediation tracking action plan /follow up, reporting)
- Review and provide support from risk and governance perspective -Post Implementation Review, New Non Face to Face channel/ platform etc
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Provide regulatory advisory (first line/consultation) for compliance matters for business unit
- Provide support and guidance pertaining to regulations on new business initiatives/ digitisation/ platform, board paper preparation etc
- Manage regulatory related survey/feedback/queries.
- Coordinate and support the roll out of group/country level initiatives across WM / WM COO office (eg. Group reporting, report automation, activity optimization etc)
- Manage audit, internal review, regulatory ad hoc review, which cover end to end process from walkthrough, logistic, collation/validation of documents etc
- Govern and oversee licensing related matters ensuring timely license registration, deregistration, process establishment to comply to licensing requirement
- Key liaison person with regulator/ examination body
- Updating/simplification of licensing/new joiner onboarding process
- Proven competency and experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role with at least 5-10 years working experience.
- Knowledge on Wealth Operations, Wealth Policy & Process and Licensing
- Strong understanding of risk management and business function such as HR, Finance, Marketing etc.
- Demonstrate competency in strategic planning, business development and project management
- Outstanding organisation and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and public speaking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude in decision- making, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi- task in a fast paced and complex environment
- Minimum qualification: Bach Degree/Master Degree/Professional Certifications in related fields
