Job Description
We seek individuals with a passion for service, possessing general food knowledge, excellent personal presentation, and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential. The ideal candidate exudes an outgoing personality and approaches tasks with a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and escort patrons to their designated tables.
- Present menus and offer comprehensive details upon inquiry, including portions, ingredients, and potential allergens.
- Meticulously set up tables with linens, silverware, and glassware for an inviting dining atmosphere.
- Inform guests about the day’s specials and provide menu recommendations, skillfully upselling additional items when appropriate.
- Accurately record food and beverage orders using POS software, order slips, or memorization.
- Verify customers’ IDs to ensure compliance with age requirements for alcoholic beverage consumption.
- Effectively communicate order details to the kitchen staff for timely preparation.
- Serve food and drink orders with attention to presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough inspections of dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness, promptly reporting any issues.
- Arrange and maintain table settings, contributing to an organized and tidy dining area.
- Present checks to guests and collect payments courteously.
- Clear tables of used plates, glasses, and silverware, transporting them to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications, especially for reservations and parties.
- Adhere to all relevant health department regulations while consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
