Job Description
- To ensure compliance with Safety & Health regulation at the place of work.
- Advising the employer or any person in charge on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the persons employed in the workplace.
- To inspect the workplace area whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labor used in the workplace, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
- To investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease that has happened in the workplace.
- To assist the employer or the safety and health committee, in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health programs at the place of work.
- To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and occupational disease which have occurred at the workplace.
- Ensure necessary notifications made to the relevant Statutory Authority under the legislation.
- To conduct toolbox briefing, safety induction, and basic safety training for operations.
- To assist the Scheduled Waste Management and Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Keep up-to-date recommended codes of practice and new safety and health rules.
- To carry out regular safety and health audit and inspections.
- Perform any other safety and health duties / tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the superior.
