Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Second Wok (Chinese) for our renowned restaurant. As a Second Wok, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of Chinese cuisine dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Our ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of traditional Chinese cooking techniques and possess the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.

In this role, you will be expected to work closely with our Head Chef and other team members to ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served on time. You should be skilled in stir-frying, wok cooking, and properly handling and seasoning various ingredients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure quality and presentation of dishes are consistent
• Manage food inventory and control portion sizes
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer needs and preferences

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Second Wok or in a similar role
• Knowledge of traditional Chinese culinary practices and techniques
• Strong cooking and knife handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills
