Job Description
1. To purchase consumable materials, electrical and mechanical spare parts, stationery and office equipment, etc based on specification required, quality and quantity.
2. To monitor and review the performance and capability of suppliers on delivery performance related to timeliness, quantity in full, documentation, consistency in quality, etc. Meantime, to conduct evaluation on new suppliers and recommend to Management for better selection should it meet the Company’s required specifications.
3. To liaise with external contractors to ensure their services and fabrication work conform to our specifications.
4. To negotiate with suppliers to get the best bargain ie lowest possible prices.
5. To ensure deliveries by suppliers are always on time to avoid our delivery disorder on finished goods.
6. To maintain a good record of Purchasing Requisition (PR) Book, Purchase Order (PO) Book, Daily Received Record, Goods Receiving Book, Suppliers’ Performance Analysis, Management Review Minutes and other relevant records.
7. To take appropriate actions to trouble-shoot the problems should there be any discrepancies arise. All discrepancies shall be recorded into the Receiving Non-Conformity File.
8. To perform the monthly month-end stocktake and prepare the report afterwhich.
9. To fully aware and understand the quality policies and objectives of the Company.
10. To carry out such other duties and responsibilities as will be assigned by Superiors from time to time as and when needed.
