Job Description

Asia Eye Management Sdn Bhd is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Optometrist / Junior Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for performing thorough routine eye inspections, diagnosing sight problems, prescribing corrective lenses and medications, and promoting eye health through patient education.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform thorough routine eye inspections.
2. Identify the patient’s visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination.
3. Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness.
4. Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
5. Maintain accurate medical files for all patients.
6. Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques.
7. Record all diagnoses and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions.
8. Assist in ordering and liaising with the supplier regarding surgery-related products such as intro-ocular lenses, ICL to meet the operation date schedule.
9. Ensure the ophthalmic machine is in good condition and perform daily calibration for the machine to obtain accurate data.
10. Perform surgery package (Lasik/ ICL/ cataract) counseling professionally.
11. To attend to inquiries on Facebook, email, and phone calls during working hours and after working hours 6pm-10pm (rotational basis).
12. Correspondence and respond to phone calls and written inquiries from patients and make outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
13. Schedule appointments for patients and collect and input information into the system with a high degree of accuracy.
14. Go the extra mile to engage patients, identify and assess patients’ needs, and achieve satisfaction.
15. Demonstrate the highest level of commitment, compassion, and customer service for all of our patients, providers, and other team members.
