Job Description

Position Summary:

The role of an Operations Executive in freight forwarding is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from one location to another. Operations Executives in this field are responsible for managing various aspects of the logistics process, from the initial booking to the final delivery. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day coordination, execution, and tracking of sea import, export, as well as transshipments.
• Liaise with overseas offices and agents.
• Prepare essential shipping documentation on a daily basis.
• Follow up and update customers on their import/export shipments.
• Communicate with carriers, terminals, customs brokers, truckers, and overseas agents.
• Ensure all shipment documentations are compliant with customs rules and regulations.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders, customs, etc. and ensure impeccable service.
• Troubleshoot challenges that might affect operational activities.
• Negotiate and book cargo with shipping lines.
• Complete customs clearances and ensure full compliance with any relevant regulations.
• Manage documentation flows, including bills of lading (B/L), packing lists, invoices, certificates of origin, licenses, etc.
• Coordinate the collection/delivery processes and manage them until the final destination according to customers’ requirements.
• Work in a small, harmonized team and cover all aspects of the forwarding process.
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks, urgent duties, projects, and assignments as required.
