Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be responsible for the company’s purchasing operations.
  • Implement Effective Procurement – Finding new supplies/cost-effective alternatives.
  • Ensure Efficient Procurement—Purchase Requisition Review and Judgment.
  • Ensure On-time delivery (from the supplier).
  • Handle Import duty exemption and necessary reports (MIDA).
  • Handle Sales tax exemption (SST) and necessary reports (CUSTOM dept).
  • Ensure procurement operations comply with ISO certification requirements.
  • Handle general administrative tasks assigned by superiors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in Purchasing/ Procurement or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Meticulous, resourceful, and possess effective problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices, import/export duties and exemptions, and supply chain procedures.
  • Solid analytic and negotiation skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in Mandarin, English, and Malay.

EDUCATION:

  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working as a Buyer/Purchaser: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Hands-on with import and export duties and exemptions: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Working in the manufacturing environment: 2 years (Preferred).

LANGUAGE:

  • Mandarin (Required), English (Required), Malay (Preferred).
