Job Description
The position of Head of School is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of the school’s programmes, support for students in the programmes, and the academic team of the school. A Head of School supports strategic activities to increase student numbers and strives to create an overall student experience that is excellent and enriching.
Job Description:
- School and Programme Management:
- School Strategic Direction
- Development of action plan for the growth and enhancement of the school – new programme development, industry collaborations, pathways, etc.
- Compliance Management
- MQA, MyQuest, Audits, Advisory Boards
- Academic staff management and supervision
- Workload Allocation, teaching evaluation/review
- Internal and External Stakeholder Management
- Interdepartmental Communication/Collaboration
- Student Support and Monitoring – Enhancement of Student experience
- Support in Regulatory Affairs – MyQuest, MOHE, MQA etc.
- Primary liaison with parents and guardians
- Curriculum Update
- Annual Curriculum Development, Review, and Updates
- School Teaching and Learning Activities and Development:
- Development of training needs assessment for the team in the school
- Management of all T&L Activities within the programmes reflecting the Guidelines of Good Practices (GGP)
- Curriculum development and monitoring
