Job Description
A Flavourist is an expert responsible for developing and creating various flavors for food and beverage products. They work closely with food scientists, sensory analysts, and marketing teams to deliver unique and high-quality flavors that meet consumer preferences.
As a Flavourist, you will utilize your knowledge in food chemistry and sensory science to develop new flavor combinations. You will conduct research, perform taste tests, and analyze market trends to stay abreast of evolving consumer preferences. Additionally, you will collaborate with the production team to ensure the successful implementation of new flavors into products.
To excel in this role, an ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of flavor chemistry, sensory evaluation techniques, and food regulations. You should have excellent creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under strict deadlines. Previous experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in the field of flavor development, is highly advantageous.
