Job Description
- Organize and schedule appointments.
- Welcome patients by greeting them in person or on the telephone. Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history. Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients. Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools. Handle patient enquiries, solutions, and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution. Take the extra mile to engage customers.
- Educate patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions. Build sustainable relationships and trust with patients through open and interactive communication.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- The Management may amend responsibilities from time to time in line with changing organizational strategy, structure, and roles.
