Job Description
A Contract Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the logistics operations of contractual agreements with clients. They coordinate the movement and storage of goods and ensure that all activities align with the terms of the contracts.
Key job responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions to create customized logistics solutions.
- Coordinate logistics activities, such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable rates and services.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Resolve any issues or disruptions in the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in contract logistics or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes and industry regulations.
- Proficient in using logistics software and systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
