Job Description

Provision of Care

• Provides safe and effective quality care to all patients in a manner that meets standard safety policy and nursing competencies.
• Acts as chaperone whenever required.
• Ensures smooth running of the assigned ward as required.
• Maintains cleanliness of ward and all equipment adhering all policies including Infection Control Policies.

Quality Improvement and Risk Management

• Observes and reports near miss, incidents, accidents, injuries and work-related illness.
• Promotes care and upholds patient and family’s right in relation to safety, privacy and confidentiality.
• Adheres to accreditation standards.

Resource Management and Data Entry

• Effective use of medical consumables / stationery in order to reduce wastage.
• Effective stock management inventory as per departmental requirements to ensure adequate supply.
• Performs accurate patient care charges.
• Ensures proper documentation and data entry using hospital system.
• Performs ad hoc tasks assigned by superior or management whenever required.
