Job Description

1. Manage day to day operation of kitchen.

2. Coordinate delivery times with vendors/suppliers to ensure that deliveries are made when they can be stored immediately. Schedule receiving times when product quantity and quality can be checked, including product temperatures.

3. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

4. Create or review SOP from time to time according to need and reporting to management for any suggestion and improvement.

5. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

6. Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.

7. Maintains a restaurant cleanliness and responsible for food safety.

8. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

9. Assists in cooking and food preparation during peak hours or shortage of kitchen manpower.

10. Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.

11. Ensure that all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.

12. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.

13. Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.

14. Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

Pay: RM2,500.00 – RM4,00.00 per month
