Job Description
As an Assistant Manager in Retail Buying, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s success. Your main responsibility is to support the Retail Buying Manager in all aspects of the buying process, from product selection to negotiation with suppliers.
Your keen eye for trends, understanding of customer preferences, and analytical skills will help us maximize sales and maintain an exceptional merchandise assortment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as merchandising, marketing, and finance, to develop seasonal buying strategies and execute them effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities
- Contribute to the development of buying strategies and assortment plans
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or markdowns
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure accurate product information and pricing
- Provide support in product selection and assortment planning
