Role Overview

Candidates from the fashion and retail industry with at least 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, planning, budgeting, banking, import, and taxation will have an added advantage. Experience in large/mid-size audit firms will be an extra plus.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the complete financial scope of Malaysia business – accounting, taxation, reporting and analysis, internal and external audits, including financial reporting standards, company policies, relevant regulatory/statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, insurance companies and other suppliers, and control overall business costs.
• Handle transfer pricing transactions, regulatory and filing experience.
• Review tax calculations, tax returns, estimated tax, and declaration of indirect taxes (e.g. SST, withholding tax) with local authorities.
• Prepare and report monthly profit and loss statements, store operations and overall business reports, and cash flow analysis.
• Implement budget controls and conduct variance analysis on expenses and income.
• Comply with SOP and identify gaps and requirements for supplementation or revision of existing SOP.
• Coordinate import document requirements with the procurement team and supply chain.
• Accounting degree or professional qualification (ACCA, MICPA, CPA).
• Must have a background in fashion and retail, 5 years of experience in finance and accounting departments, and practical experience in finance, accounting, management information systems and reporting, budgeting and planning, direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, international trade, law, and secretarial matters.
• Good communication skills.
• English proficiency is required.
