Job Description
An Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing financial data and ensuring accurate record-keeping. They handle various tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and reconciling accounts. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and timely
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
- Participate in financial audits and provide necessary documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
