Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily finance operations to ensure smooth execution of all accounting activities and day to day finance function.
- Ensure monthly closing is done properly and timely and provides leadership guidance on Month End close process and support team on monthly financial reporting.
- Maintaining of computerized accounting system, back up control, assisting other accounting staff with computer generated reports and statements.
- Review monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts, verify accuracy of bank statements and maintain integrity of cash balances and cash flow systems.
- Review all details of balance sheet on monthly basis.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors with regards to compliance with group and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Yearly Corporate Tax estimates and submission
- Responsible for Company’s relevant tax compliance i.e. withholding tax, Transfer Pricing, etc.
- Develop & maintain good professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders i.e. auditor, tax agent, company secretary, consultants, lawyers, bankers, insurance, suppliers, related business.
- Continuous improvement on accounting system and advises on system integration issues relating to finance and/ or internal control.
- Drives implementation of financial reporting tool and actively participate in the implementation of other operation tools which may have financial implication.
- Perform any other duties and assignment that may be assigned from to time to time.
Requirement:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or Professional Qualification in Accounting i.e. ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.
- At least 8 years of working experience in accounting and financial experience in retail/FMCG environment with a multinational company or a minimum of 3 years in management.
- Preferably with audit experience in the Big 4 Accounting firms.
