Job Description
The Account Payable Associate is responsible for accurately recording, verifying, and processing all incoming invoices and expense reports. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure the efficient and timely payment of all outstanding debts.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring proper coding and approval
- Entering and posting invoices into the accounting system
- Reconciling vendor statements with outstanding invoices and resolving any discrepancies
- Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- Prior experience in accounts payable or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
