Job Description
A Town Planner is responsible for developing and implementing plans to ensure effective and sustainable use of land and resources in urban and rural areas. They work closely with local government and community stakeholders to create land use policies, negotiate development proposals, and evaluate environmental and social impacts of various projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting research and analysis to assess existing land use patterns and future growth projections.
- Developing comprehensive land use plans, zoning regulations, and policies to guide sustainable development.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to evaluate development proposals and assess their impact on communities.
- Engaging with community members and stakeholders to gather input and address concerns related to land use and development.
- Ensuring compliance with local and national planning regulations and standards.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree in urban planning or a related field and possess a strong understanding of urban design principles and sustainable development practices.
