Job Description

Responsible for supporting servicing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of water-cooled and air-cooled chiller systems in accordance with OEM standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance

– Routine inspection and servicing of chiller systems

– Check refrigerant pressure, temperature, and oil level

– Inspect compressor, motor, piping, insulation

– Inspect electrical panel for loose or abnormal conditions

– Record operating parameters accurately

Mechanical & Refrigeration

– Assist in compressor oil replacement and oil filter change

– Assist in refrigerant recovery, vacuum, and charging

– Support condenser / evaporator tube cleaning

– Identify and report refrigerant leaks

– Replace minor mechanical components under supervision

Electrical & Control

– Measure and record voltage and current

– Inspect contactor, relay, fuse, and wiring termination

– Assist in alarm checking and reset with approval

– Support sensor / controller / PCB replacement when instructed

Troubleshooting & Breakdown

– Attend breakdown and alarm calls

– Carry out basic fault finding and report clearly

– Support senior engineer during rectification

– Escalate abnormal or unsafe conditions immediately

– Troubleshooting FCU and AHU unit

Testing & Commissioning

– Assist chiller start-up and shutdown

– Monitor operation during test run

– Record before-run and after-run data

– Observe abnormal noise, vibration, or leakage

Safety & Compliance

– Follow site safety rules, PTW, and LOTO

– Use proper PPE and tools

– Maintain good housekeeping

Documentation & Reporting

– Complete service checklist and logs

– Take site photos when required

– Report defects and risks to supervisor

– No direct technical conclusion or promise to customer

Job Requirements

– Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or RAC

– 2–5 years experience in chiller or large HVAC (preferred)

– Basic refrigeration and electrical knowledge

– Able to read basic wiring diagrams

Working Conditions

– Site-based work

– Overtime / standby / weekend when required
