Job Description:

• Process day-to-day sourcing, purchasing, and inventory planning activities.
• Assume responsibility for the assigned materials, with a focus on reducing cost or minimizing price increase without compromising quality and compliance to sourcing guidelines.
• Develop new sources and make preferential source recommendations for existing materials.
• Issue purchase orders, follow-up with suppliers for confirmation of orders, including order amendments, and coordinate with Finance for advance payment.
• Manage suppliers and evaluate their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality.
• Report and track supplier’s delivery performance disruption that impact operations. Investigate and execute all non-conformance corrective action.
• Ensure customers’ orders and sample requests are fulfilled according to the customer’s requested date or work out the next earliest date if customers’ requested date cannot be met.
• Collaborate with the project team to establish agility and good purchasing control.
• Work with Quantity Surveyor to ensure purchases are within budget, including keeping track of expenses against the project budget.
• Work closely with other departments to achieve operational efficiencies. Participate in process improvement initiatives and workflow for streamlining.
• Other roles and responsibilities assigned by Supervisor.

Requirement:

• Candidates must possess at least a Degree in any field.
• With at least 3 to 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Junior Executives specialized in Purchasing or equivalent.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin.
